Chanukah Half Time Report

On Wednesday night my husband lit one candle for the first night of Chanukah and we gave each other gifts.  On Thursday night my husband lit two candles for the second night of Chanukah and I made potato and sweet potato latkes for my immediate family who came over for a small get together where we gave each other gifts and my brother tried stealing our dreidels.  On Friday night my husband, alongside my father and brother-in-law, lit three candles for the third night of Chanukah at my parents’ house after which I lit two candles, alongside my mother, Bubby, and sister, to signal the start of Shabbos.  On Saturday night my father lit a candle to mark the end of Shabbos and then my husband, father, brother-in-law, and two brothers lit four candles for the fourth night of Chanukah and my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and cousins’ kids came over for quiche, donuts, cookies and presents.
